We had an exciting day on June 30, as you can see from our pictures. It was Profit Day!
What is Profit Day? Glad you asked:  every quarter, OTB calculates how much we’ve made through online sales, sales from our outlet store, and donations. We then divide the profit among our ministry partners.  On June 30, we were able to give $800 checks to six of our partners:  Feeding Our Kids, C-U at Home, Safe Families, Gems Foundation, Delivering Hope International, and Loving Shepherd Ministries. Four of the six ministries had representatives present to accept their check in person. Last quarter, on March 31, we presented them with $450 checks.
We’re halfway through this year, and we’ve given away $11,843. Lifesong for Orphans has received $2200 from us for adoption grants. We provided a $500 annual love gift to both Hogar Orphanage in Peru and Ludlati Care Point in Swaziland. We were also able to provide an extra $243 to Loving Shepherd Ministries from the change jar we keep by the register in our outlet store. In addition, one staff member donated her pay, equal to $900, to Ludlati Care Point.
If you’d like to know more about our ministry partners, check out Our Current Impact on our website. (http://www.orphanstreasurebox.org/about/our-impact/) And check back in September to see what we’re able to do next!
